Redbird Reef

Redbird reef is one of the 5 best artificial reefs in the world. Created by the Maryland Reef Initiative, this 1.3 mile reef is made up of 714 Redbird subway cars, 3,000 tons of truck tires, and 86 decommisioned military tanks. Being the most visited reef on the coast of Delaware, this underwater amusement park recieves more than 10,000 fishing receptions a year. Since the insallment of Redbird Reef, marine life in Delaware has increased by 400 times in four years.
